IT Support for Dental Specialists: when big images can’t wait

Big 3D images, a full schedule, and a network that can’t keep up.

Orthodontists, periodontists, oral surgeons and dental groups run busy, image heavy practices. We keep the technology quiet and reliable, so the team can focus on patients.

Do you support dental specialists, not only general dentists?

Yes. We support orthodontists in Vancouver and Richmond and periodontists in Edmonton, along with general dental clinics. A specialist office needs what any clinic needs: a reliable server, tested backups, security and a fast network, often with more large images. We set it up and look after it.

  • Under 2 hrsto restore a failed server from local storage
  • 30 daysbackup copies stay locked, so no one can delete them early
  • 24/7emergency line (604) 813-7881, always answered by a person

Specialist or practice manager? Here’s the short version.

If you own the practice

  • Images are the record. Scans and 3D images are backed up 3-2-1, with an encrypted offsite copy in Vancouver, BC.
  • A dead server doesn’t cancel the day. When we restore a failed server from local storage, it has taken less than 2 hours.
  • One flat rate. $55 to $125 per PC per month, in writing before you commit.

If you run the office

  • A person answers. (604) 813-7881, 24/7 for emergencies.
  • Local people come in. Teams in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary come to your clinic.
  • Quick fixes in your group chat. Many issues are solved fast with remote access.

Why it matters, in plain words

Three pieces of tech every specialist office should ask about, and why.

RAID 10

Why big images need fast, redundant storage

RAID 10 is fast for large files and keeps the server running when a drive fails. It still isn’t a backup.

Immutable backups

Why ransomware hunts for your backups first

Delete the backups and the practice has to pay or rebuild. Our copies are locked for 30 days, and no one, not even us, can delete them early.

Hyper-V

Why one dead server shouldn’t send patients home

On Hyper-V, your server is a set of files that can come back on other hardware. That’s how we get a failed server back from local storage in less than 2 hours.

Who we support

We support periodontists in Edmonton, including Dr. Leon Yu, and orthodontists in Vancouver and Richmond.

Orthodontists

Vancouver and Richmond. Imaging, scanners and the network need to keep up with a busy schedule, and the front desk needs fast answers when something stops.

Periodontists

Edmonton. Patient records, images and referral files kept safe, backed up and quick to open.

Oral surgeons

Large 3D images, treatment rooms with connected equipment and strong backups. We plan the network and storage to match.

Dental groups

The same setup at every location, one team to call, and one way to see what is happening across sites.

Imaging that works

Sensors, panoramic and 3D (CBCT) machines connected and tested.

How it works

Specialists use our managed support plans: a flat monthly rate per PC with help desk, monitoring, on-site visits and backups. We also help with new clinic and renovation setups and software moves. Your practice software has its own page: Dentrix, ClearDent, Tracker, Curve Dental, Open Dental, AkituOne and ABELDent.

Specialist support in your city

Our Vancouver team works from an office on Seymour St. Our Edmonton team comes to your clinic, and the Edmonton address we list is for mail only. Our Calgary IT specialists are local, with no walk-in office, so we come to you. Our regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm MT, and our emergency line is answered 24/7 by a person.

ComputerServer1GbE

1GbE is the standard

Gigabit wiring is the baseline for every clinic.

CBCTServer10GbE

With a CBCT, aim higher

A 10GbE network helps big 3D images load smoothly.

Fun tip: if you have a CBCT (3D cone beam scanner), a 10GbE network helps big images load smoothly.

Specialist IT questions

Do you support oral surgeons and dental groups?

Yes. A specialist or group office uses the same managed plan and the same care for servers, backups, security and imaging. Call us to talk through your setup.
