It is Tuesday. Someone cannot open Drive, Meet keeps dropping, and your domain DNS still looks like a puzzle. You want Gmail, Drive, Meet and Docs under your own domain that just work.

All prices are CAD per user per month, taxes extra, as of October 2026. These are Google Canada’s list prices. The annual plan is a one year commitment, and Google can bill it monthly. Month to month is Google’s flexible plan, which costs more and lets you cancel any month. Check Google for the current price.

Google doesn’t publish a price for Enterprise, so ask us for a quote. Google runs introductory discounts for new customers, and we’ve left them out. Business plans are capped at 300 users. Enterprise isn’t. Google also sells Frontline and Essentials editions. Ask us if one might fit.

Ask us nonprofit discount available

Nonprofit is not the same as free for every plan. The base Google Workspace for Nonprofits offer is $0 CAD for eligible orgs. Paid upgrades (Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise) get nonprofit discounts. Google lists those prices in USD, so ask us for the CAD amount. Nonprofit and Business Standard or Plus nonprofit seats are capped at 2,000 users. Enterprise discounts have no user cap on Google’s page.

Eligibility rules differ from Microsoft’s nonprofit program. You need a Google for Nonprofits account, and Google must verify you. Google’s help also says these nonprofit discounts are sold by Google, not through a partner. We can still help you choose, set up and support Workspace.

Which plan we’d steer you toward

Short version: start with Business Standard. Move to Plus when you need Vault or stronger device control.

Business Starter

Email, calendar and Meet. Storage fills up fast.

Business Standard

2 TB each, meeting recording and Gemini across the apps.

Business Plus

Adds Vault and advanced endpoint management.

For most small offices we start with Business Standard. Move to Plus when you need Vault or tighter device control.

Starter is fine for light email use, but 30 GB fills up. Standard adds roomy storage, recording and Gemini. Plus adds Vault. Enterprise is for larger or regulated needs.

Security, in plain words

2-step verification

Turn it on for everyone. We help you roll it out.

Endpoint management

Fundamental on Starter and Standard. Advanced on Plus.

Vault

Keep and search mail and chat. Plus and Enterprise. Not a backup.

Data regions

Choose where covered data rests. Enterprise.

Start with 2-step for everyone. Add Plus when you need Vault or stronger device control.

Backups for Google Workspace

Google Workspace is not backed up for you the way most people assume. Trash windows are short. Vault keeps records for compliance. It is not a backup you restore from after a long gap.

Active Backup for Google Workspace

Synology's built-in tool copies Gmail, Drive, shared drives, contacts and calendars.

Synology NAS (on site)

The backup lives on a Synology NAS at your office, so restores are quick.

Offsite cold storage

Veeam then copies that backup offsite, encrypted, to Vancouver BC. Locked for 30 days.

Vault is not a backup. A backup is only real once a test restore works.

Curious why? Why a locked backup copy matters and why sign in needs a second check, in plain words.

We back up Google Workspace with Active Backup for Google Workspace, Synology’s built-in backup tool. It backs up Gmail, Drive, shared drives, contacts and calendars to a Synology NAS at your office, so restores are quick. Veeam then copies that backup offsite, encrypted, to cold storage in Vancouver BC. The offsite copies are immutable for 30 days: no one, not even an administrator or Benson Hunt, can change or delete them before the lock ends. We size it and test restores with you.

What Google does

Runs Workspace. Your data is yours to protect.

What’s on you

Who can delete it, how long it’s kept, and getting it back.

What we recommend

Synology Active Backup for Google Workspace backs up to a Synology at your office. Veeam then copies that backup offsite, encrypted, to cold storage in Vancouver BC, locked so no one can delete it for 30 days. And restores we actually test.

How we set it up

Plan

People, devices and what you cannot afford to lose.

Set up

Domain, mail, sign-in rules and shared spaces.

Move

Mail and files in a quiet cutover window.

Support

We stay on the line after go-live.

You get a written plan before we touch DNS.

Google or Microsoft?

Prices sit within about a dollar on annual CAD plans (October 2026). Pick by how your team works. Browser-first documents lean Google. Desktop Excel and Office macros lean Microsoft. We sell and support both.

How we work with Google

We’re a Google Workspace reseller. We sell the plans, set up your domain and mail, move you from other email or from Microsoft 365, and support you afterwards.
